Little Allalone began more than fifteen years ago as a simple story of a child moving from abandonment to adoption. I was stirred by the narrative of God adopting us as his children as recorded in Romans 8.

Little did I know when I wrote this short story on adoption, my own daughter and son-in-law, who battled fertility issues, would soon be adopting two of my precious granddaughters, Aubrie and Emily.

I wanted to write a young adult chapter book and couldn’t seem to do anything else but to expand the story of little Allalone. Her life mirrors the lives of so many displaced, hurting, lost children that fill the world we live in. But due to God’s providence she is helped by loving servants of the Great King.

Come meet Allalone and some other very colorful characters: Fancy, Dingy, Roanna, and, of course, Jesse - the Kind’s own emissary.

I am planning to continue Allalone’s story with a second book!
